Coaches Certifications

All coaches are required to possess CPR, First Aid and Coaches Safety Training. USA Swimming has a list of approved certifications for 2007-2008.

Coaches Safety Training Classes

A coach is now able to take the Safety Training for Swim Coaches written test online and then proceed to a Red Cross certified instructor to demonstrate the required water skills. There are two options to this procedure: the Fast Track Option and the Written Test Only Option. For more information visit USA Swimming's website.

Oregon Swimming has a regularly scheduled class during its annual House of Delegates Meeting and Mini Expo in October.
