Head Coach - Evergreen Swim ClubThe Evergreen Swim Club (ESC), in Olympia, WA is seeking the ideal candidate for Head Coach, available September 1, 2008. We are located in beautiful Olympia, WA, with the Puget Sound in our backyard, at the serene Evergreen State College campus. Our vision dictates we promote the enjoyment of swimming as a lifelong sport through a competitive and supportive environment. We are looking for that exceptional candidate that is devoted to balancing the enjoyment of age group swimming with the technical and motivational requirements of national level swimmers. ESC runs year round through the Short Course and Long Course seasons from September 1st through the 1st week in August. We swim at an 11 lane 25Y by 25M pool, and have access to all college athletic facilities for dry land training. There are multiple Sectional level swimmers poised for Zone and national qualifying times with the right guidance. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of Age Group training and Age Group Coaches including all Senior Development/Senior workouts and training. This position is a voting member of the ESC Board that meets monthly. This position is also responsible for annual reviews and monthly meetings with the Age Group Coaches, as well as hiring and firing of these positions as needed. The Head Coach must have direct knowledge of all PNS and USS policies and procedures, CPR certification, Coach Safety Training, First Aid Certification, and PNS background checks, while maintaining these records for all Assistant Coaches. Guidance with fundraising and recruiting is also necessary. We are looking for a Head Coach that will maintain a positive environment, expecting excellence, and achieving the desired results for each individual swimmer. In addition to being a motivator, the coach candidate must be very detail oriented and able to communicate the importance of execution of technical details to a training group. This is a full time position composed of several part time positions: coaching at least 2 training groups, lifeguard and swim lesson instructor and administrative duties. Salary is dependent upon experience, but will amount to over $30,000.00. Candidates should have all necessary certifications or be prepared to attain them in September. Head Coach - La Grande Swim ClubThe La Grande Swim Club is soliciting applications for a part-time Head Swim Coach. The primary responsibility of the Head Coach is to provide the following: training appropriate for children ages 6-18, the instruction of skill and technique appropriate to the level of the swimmer, organization and supervision of practice sessions (including swimmers, swim instructors, and assistant coaches), setting team goals for each season, providing a nurturing athletic environment for the advancement of each individual, determining meet entries for all team-sanctioned meets, maintaining communication between coach and athlete and coach and parent regarding swim training and competition, and interacting with the league officials and coaches as necessary. The Head Coach will also be responsible for recruiting Assistant Coaches (as necessary). Required Qualifications: US Swimming certification to coach (includes CPR, First Aid, and Swim Safety for Coaches [or similar]). ASCA certification preferred, but not required depending upon qualifications and prior experience. About the La Grande Swim Club: LGSC has a long and rich history. Currently there are 60-70 swimmers depending upon the time of year, ranging in age from 6-17. BELLINGHAM BAY SWIM TEAM A USA SWIMMING CLUB Job Opening for the 2008-2009 Season The Bellingham Bay Swim Team (BBST) is currently accepting applications for a motivated, professional Pre-Senior Group coach to begin with the team September 2, 2008. The Pre-Senior Coach will coach on deck approximately 10-15 hours/week and attend approximately 15 meets per season. The coach responsibilities will include writing and implementing water workouts as well as dry-land training programs.
